Out on a Limb.....

Yes......I said out on a limb I go......

Trufant will start the season off on the PUP list.....

Before all you people start bombarding me with comments on how I don't know shit....read on.

From a personal standpoint I know exactly what Marcus Trufant is going through right now. I am not talking about the stress of not knowing whether or not he is going to sit out for 6 games. I am talking about the pain and uneasy feeling of having a bulging/herniated disc in his back. I suffered through a bulging disc in my back that was causing my whole left leg to go numb. Not only did it go numb but there was a tremendous amount of pain swirling around my joints in that leg. It is because of my understanding of how painful the injury is that I am writing this post. I know there are many procedures and rehabilitation to help relieve that pressure but most don't work.

I tested out several of these un-proven methods and nothing worked. I tried spinal compression therapy, massage therapy, I went to the chiropractor, and none of these things worked. I really tried everything I could find as alternatives to surgery.

In the end, I had to have laser surgery on my back. If this disc issue for Trufant is anything like my experience he will start the season out on the PUP list. I all but guarantee that happening.

That is why I am going out on a LIMB here and saying; Trufant will miss 6 games of the regular season.

Have any of you experienced the same thing? What do you think?

Your an idiot.

My brother in law had a herniated disc and he had a sports massage therapist work on him and he was up and about in two days....

Your full of shit....

Really, that's awesome....

Did you ever stop to think that maybe that type of injury is different for everyone and that I even said "If this disc issue for Trufant is anything like my experience he will start the season out on the PUP list."

Hence the IF.

I love people who are so quick to comment when you can't even understand what was written.

keep trying JOHNNY!

Jeremy, Johnny Hawk can grow up any time now! Geez. I know what you mean about back injuries. They aren't the same for everyone, but if they are like yours AND mine, then Tru is going to be out for a bit. Clearly they aren't like Johnny's brother in law, since Tru has been out all of training camp already, not back up in two days, and I'm sure he's seen plenty of specialists, including message therapists.

I go to chiropractic, message therapy, physical therapy, and get steroid injections in my S1, L2-3, and L4-5 because of pinched nervers and bulging discs. For me too, nothing much helps. Icing for literally an entire night multiple days in a row can reduce the pain, but it's right back again later.

Right now I have a burning fire like pain radiating out from l2-3 and down my back to the top of my hip, but not yet in my hip today. I'm sure that's coming later... something to look forward too!

Not everyone has the same reaction to these types of treatment Johnny, and in fact, for most, it's not 2 days of therapy and "I'm good".
